Gir cows are originated from various districts of Gujarat and Kathiawar , Later they are migrated across INDIA . Rajasthan also have large number of Gir cows.

Gir cows are of "Superior Breed" and the milk of these cows is of premium quality due to the presence of an A-2 beta-casein protein substance.

Gir cow ghee is a healthier option than alternative regular ghee. It has healing properties. It is tolerant of various diseases which is the reason it is comparatively high in price.
